Just another day... <

Airmen and Soldiers take a moment to pray for each other's safety before heading out for another day of convoy duty in Iraq. The Airmen run the convoys into Iraq and the Soldiers, in their armored trucks, escort them.

Another year, another day, another convoy. God bless 'em, may their days be IED free.

Patriots to Honor 1985 ACF Championship Team at Half-Time This Week <

McGinest roles on: Patriots' 12th Player does it all

Steve Grogan vs Tony Eason. Coach Ray Berry, Craig James, Stanley Morgan, Andre Tippet, Ronnie La-pet (Lippet), Roland James, Fred Marion, Steve Nelson, Don Blackmon, John Hannah, Pete Brock, Bill Lenkaitis, the bare-footed Tony Franklin, the late Lawrence Mcgrew. I can't beleive it's been 20 years since these guys were roaming the field at "Sullivan Stadium" The win on the road on Monday night against the Dolphins in Miami, a game they never win, to get into the play-offs. The 3 play-off wins on the road to get to the superbowl only to be demolished by the Chicago Bears. Squish the Fish and Berry the Bears. A season I'll always remember.

Another Australian in trouble over drugs in Asia<

First the model imprisoned in Malaysia now this kid in Singapore. Their gonna hang him. They don't play with drug smugglers in Asia, boy.

(Rueters photo)
Then ya got this guy, who's all bummed out he can't carry out the execution.

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Singapore's chief executioner, who claims he was sacked after speaking to Australian media, says he hopes still to be called upon to hang a young Australian man convicted of drug trafficking who is due to die on Friday.

The death sentence on Vietnamese-born Melbourne man Nguyen Tuong Van, 25, has strained relations between the two countries.
Darshan Singh, 74, who has carried out hundreds of executions in a career spanning 48 years, told Reuters on Sunday he had been sacked by the prison authorities and would not be required for any more executions.

But on Monday, Singapore's prison department said Singh had not been sacked and was still a contract officer. It did not say who would perform Nguyen's execution.

Singh insists that, with his experience, he can ensure that the condemned man would be hanged efficiently, whereas an inexperienced hangman could make mistakes and prolong Nguyen's suffering.
